Softball Recap: Knoxville Catholic Comes Up Short

If Knoxville Catholic was feeling good fresh off their 14-6 takedown of Notre Dame last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fighting Irish took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Baylor Red Raiders on Wednesday. The Fighting Irish haven't had much luck with the Red Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Knoxville Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anna Debusk, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Knoxville Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Baylor, they pushed their record up to 15-7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Knoxville Catholic and Baylor will both be playing Webb the next time they take the field. The Red Raiders will host the Spartans at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Fighting Irish will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
