Football Recap: Metrolina Christian Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against North Wake S last Friday, Metrolina Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Warriors fell 35-28 to the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights on Friday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Although Metrolina Christian Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Micah Crenshaw, Jaxon Williams, Isaiah Mayes, and Matthew Burch.

North Raleigh Christian Academy had a senior duo take command as Cooper Herakovich threw for 143 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes and Davin McCoy gained 161 total yards and two touchdowns. McCoy also set a new season-high mark in rushing yards with 133.

Metrolina Christian Academy's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Metrolina Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Charlotte Country Day School at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Harrells Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. The Knights will need to watch out since the Crusaders have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
