Football Recap: Port Edwards Comes Up Short

Port Edwards was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Almond-Bancroft Eagles and fell 59-6. The Blackhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Port Edwards' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Almond-Bancroft, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Port Edwards will host Rosholt at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Almond-Bancroft, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tri-County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Penguins have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
