Baseball Recap: Lakeview Find Success

Lakeview lost to White Cloud back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Wildcats walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Indians. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Indians on their field since April 26, 2022.

The team relied heavily on Cameron Perez, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Mclouth, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

Lakeview's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for White Cloud, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Indians beat Lakeview by a score of 5-3 later that day.
