Volleyball Recap: Carlin Comes Up Short

Carlin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Owyhee Braves, falling 3-0. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-4, 25-14.

Carlin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Owyhee, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Carlin will square off against Round Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Owyhee, after both having extra time off, they and Eureka will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
