Basketball Recap: Sanford Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Victory

Sanford waltzed into their game on Monday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They claimed a resounding 58-14 win over the Wilmington Friends Quakers. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 28 points or more this season.

Sanford pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 15.9 points over those games. As for Wilmington Friends, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.

Looking ahead, Sanford will head out on the road to face off against Ursuline Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Ursuline Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Sanford surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wilmington Friends, they will challenge Odessa at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
