Softball Recap: Conant's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Conant's last matchup with Maine West could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Warriors, falling 10-3. The loss put an end to the Cougars' undefeated start to the season.

Ava Falcone made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jenny Ryan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Having lost for the first time this season, Conant fell to 2-1. As for Maine West, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Conant is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge South Elgin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Storm have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Maine West, they will welcome Prospect at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
