Basketball Recap: China Spring Comes Up Short

China Spring lost against Lorena back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The China Spring Cougars were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 37-36 to the Lorena Leopards. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 399th, while the Leopards are ranked 145th).

China Spring has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-13 record this season. As for Lorena, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 20-7.

China Spring will head out to challenge Robinson at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Lorena, they will be playing at home against La Vega at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in La Vega's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
