Basketball Recap: Cardinal Spellman Takes a Loss

If Cardinal Spellman was feeling good fresh off their 58-20 takedown of Cristo Rey last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinal Spellman Cardinals were dealt a 55-14 loss at the hands of the Fontbonne Academy Ducks on Sunday. The Cardinals have struggled against the Ducks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Cardinal Spellman now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Fontbonne Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cardinal Spellman will venture away from home to challenge Randolph at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cardinal Spellman is facing Randolph at the right time seeing as Randolph is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Fontbonne Academy has already played their next contest (against Notre Dame Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
