Baseball Recap: Sparks Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Sparks's offense. They came up short against the Truckee Wolverines on Wednesday, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Railroaders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Sparks saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Flores, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Sparks dropped their record down to 1-12 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Truckee, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sparks is set to take on their familiar foe Hug at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Truckee will challenge rival South Tahoe at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
