Volleyball Recap: Southern Guilford Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Southern Guilford lost against Southeast Guilford back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Storm lost 3-0 to the Falcons. The Storm have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Southern Guilford was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Southeast Guilford's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-8, 25-12.

Southern Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Southeast Guilford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Southern Guilford and Southeast Guilford could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Storm will square off against Asheboro at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (527 vs. 158). Meanwhile, Southeast Guilford (ranked 113th) will meet Northern Guilford (ranked 35th) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
