Pearland proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 25) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks out 43-41. Winning may never get old, but the Oilers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Pearland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.2 points per game. As for Pasadena Memorial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.
