It was fun while it lasted, but Manchester's undefeated season came to an end after 11 games on Friday. They fell to the East Catholic Eagles 72-66. The game marked the Red Hawks' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Manchester lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Chance Clark, who went 10 of 16 on his way to 25 points. That's the most points Clark has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Joe Mugovero, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards.

Manchester's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-1. As for East Catholic, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Manchester will be playing in front of their home fans against Lewis Mills at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Catholic, they will square off against Northwest Catholic at 6:45 p.m. on January 24th. East Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Northwest Catholic likes a good challenge.
