Volleyball Recap: Lakota West's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but Lakota West unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-match winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Little Miami Panthers. The Firebirds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Despite the loss, Lakota West had strong showings from Brookelyn Humphrey, who had 11 digs and six assists, and Allie Steckman, who had eight digs and two aces. Steckman has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last 20 times she's played.

Lakota West's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Little Miami, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-13.

Lakota West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Little Miami, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Lebanon on the 25th.
