Softball Recap: Templeton Has No Trouble Against Cabrillo

Templeton got themselves on the board against Cabrillo on Monday, but Cabrillo never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Cabrillo Conquistadores with a sharp 8-0 win. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Not much got past Tegan Jay, who gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks to keep Cabrillo off the board.

At the plate, Whitney Moore was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Jessie Branch, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Templeton now has a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Templeton will head out to face off against King City at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cabrillo, they will venture away from home to take on Orcutt Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
