Soccer Recap: Jones Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pamlico County last Wednesday, Jones came back down to earth. The Trojans fell 2-0 to the Lejeune Devilpups on Monday. Jones haven't had much luck with Lejeune recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Jones' loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Lejeune, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0-1.

Looking ahead, Lejeune will challenge Southside at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Jones will be paying especially close attention to the Devilpups' contest: after the Devilpups face off against the Seahawks, they'll take on Jones again at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
