Softball Recap: St. Thomas Aquinas Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

St. Thomas Aquinas extended their winning streak to three on Saturday, bumping them up to 9-11. They put the hurt on the John Carroll Catholic Golden Rams with a sharp 11-5 win. St. Thomas Aquinas' victory was all the more impressive since the Golden Rams were averaging only three runs allowed on the season.

Taylor Goad made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Goad was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Sophia Kickham was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Haylee Cook, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
