Baseball Recap: Niagara Gets the Win

Niagara had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Gillett on Friday. The Badgers never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Badgers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Dwight Hedmark was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs.

In other batting news, Remington Buchanan was excellent, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. Wyatt Dunkes was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Niagara's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
