Baseball Game Preview: Cordia Lions vs. Menifee County Wildcats

The Cordia Lions will face off against the Menifee County Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Cordia's last matchup with Buckhorn could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Wednesday. The Lions lost 11-0 to the Wildcats. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

West Carter hit Menifee County with a nine-run fourth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats came up short against the Comets, falling 16-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cordia's loss dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Menifee County, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-19.

Cordia might still be hurting after the 16-10 loss they got from Menifee County when the teams last played back in April. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
