Volleyball Game Preview: Franklin Lions vs. Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls

The Franklin Lions will face off against the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Franklin challenged Rockdale on Friday. The Lions put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Coldspring-Oakhurst typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Anderson-Shiro proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Trojans 3-0.

Anderson-Shiro walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20, 25-8.

Anderson-Shiro's win bumped their record up to 24-14. As for Franklin, their victory bumped their record up to 14-20.

Everything went Franklin's way against Anderson-Shiro in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as Franklin made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Fighting Owls turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
