Basketball Recap: Switzerland County's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Switzerland County had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past the Henry County Wildcats with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 59-42.

Switzerland County was led to victory by Bri Stow and Lauren Smith. Stow went 7 of 15 en route to 19 points and eight rebounds, while Smith went 8 of 11 on her way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Kelso, who posted 11 points.

Switzerland County's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Henry County, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Switzerland County will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Batesville at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Henry County and Berea will round out the year against one another at at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
