Holly had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Walsh Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Holly was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-21.

Holly got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Miranda Valdez out in front who had nine digs and three assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalia Garrido, who had 12 digs and two aces.

Holly was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They are 7-3 when they serve at least ten aces.

Holly's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Walsh, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Holly will welcome Swallows Charter Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Walsh has already played their next matchup (against Wiley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
