Baseball Recap: Lake Weir Takes a Loss

Lake Weir lost against Forest back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hurricanes fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 6-5.

Riley Erickson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Courtney, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Lake Weir's record is now 8-12-1. As for Forest, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Looking ahead, Lake Weir will take on Dunnellon at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Hurricanes surely won't give up without a fight. As for Forest, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 14-13 victory against North Marion on the 2nd.
