Softball Recap: Westmoreland Eagles vs. Trousdale County Yellowjackets
Westmoreland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trousdale County Yellowjackets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Westmoreland of the 7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
Westmoreland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mylea Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Johnson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
