Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Roxana). They enjoyed a cozy 58-43 win over the West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Cougars on Thursday. For the Shells, this counts as revenge for the 61-14 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2019.

Despite the loss, West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ali Little posted 20 points. Little's evening made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Sofie Grubb was another key player, putting up five points and five rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Roxana and bumps their season record up to 12-13. As for West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs], their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.

Roxana wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 26-23 loss against Beardstown on the 1st. As for West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs], they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-51 defeat against Carrollton on the 3rd.
