Basketball Recap: Ossining Piles Up the Points Against Harrison

A well-balanced attack led Ossining over Harrison in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Pride blew the Huskies out of the water with a 68-27 final score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Pride had established a 28-point advantage.

Claire Schnecker went supernova, dropping a triple-double with 29 points, 17 rebounds, and 11 steals. Those 11 steals gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Torrieri, who posted eight points along with eight assists and five steals.

Ossining smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in 15 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Ossining's record now sits at 2-0.

Coming up, Ossining will challenge Greeley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Pride their first taste of in-conference action this season. Harrison will be paying especially close attention to Ossining's contest: after Ossining faces off against Sulphur, they'll take on Harrison again at 4:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
