The Assabet Valley RVT Aztecs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Whitinsville Christian Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Assabet Valley RVT pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 72-56 bruising from St. Paul. Assabet Valley RVT has struggled against St. Paul recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Whitinsville Christian managed to keep up with Maimonides until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Caleb Deters, who scored 12 points. Cam Desmarais was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Assabet Valley RVT's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Whitinsville Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8.
Assabet Valley RVT came up short against Whitinsville Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 47-38. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Whitinsville Christian's Zeke Plantinga, who scored 17 points.
