Softball Recap: North Greene Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hampton on Thursday, North Greene came back down to earth. The Huskies fell just short of the Greeneville Greene Devils by a score of 5-4 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Greene Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-7 last Friday.

North Greene's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Greeneville, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-12-1.

Looking ahead, North Greene will be playing at home against South Greene at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rebels have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Greeneville, they are taking a road trip to square off against Cherokee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
