Football Recap: Crisp County Takes a Loss

Crisp County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 30-7 to the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 25-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Crisp County's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Fitzgerald, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Crisp County will head out on the road to square off against Peach County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fitzgerald, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Brooks County at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th.
