Clifton-Clyde was the 2-0 winner over Blue Valley when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Rams by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Calyn Baker paced Clifton-Clyde's offense, picking up eight kills. Baker got some help from Sevy Wurtz and her 14 assists. Baker also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Finley Knoettgen, each putting up two.

Clifton-Clyde's loss dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Blue Valley, with the win, they broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 14-21.

Clifton-Clyde has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Washington County on the 11th. As for Blue Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Onaga on the 11th.
