Softball Recap: Kellam Sets Scoring Season-High Against Green Run

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kellam). They were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over the Green Run Stallions on Thursday. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Kellam's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Green Run, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kellam will challenge Grassfield at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Green Run, they will take on Princess Anne at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Stallions are facing the Cavaliers at the right time seeing as the Cavaliers are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
