Baseball Recap: Lamar Comes Up Short

Lamar was the 6-3 winner over Lavaca when they last played one another back in March of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell 7-4 to the Golden Arrows on Tuesday.

Kasen Humphrey made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Lamar has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14-1 record this season. As for Lavaca, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamar will head out to challenge Atkins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lavaca, they will square off against Mountainburg at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
