Basketball Game Preview: Central Christian Cougars vs. Canton-Galva Eagles

The Central Christian Cougars will face off against the Canton-Galva Eagles on Monday.

Central Christian is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 56 points on Friday, they were much more limited against Berean Academy on Tuesday. They were dealt a 56-23 defeat at the hands of the Warriors. The Cougars have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Canton-Galva was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Goessel 66-17. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Canton-Galva has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.1 points over those games. As for Central Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
