Soccer Game Preview: Steele vs. Lorain

The Steele Comets will head out to face off against the Lorain Titans at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lorain has given up an average of 6.3 goals per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Steele was handed a three-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They beat Olmsted Falls by a goal, winning 3-2. The score was all tied up 2-2 at the break, but Steele were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Lorain's offense. They came up short against Brunswick, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Lorain can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 485th, while Brunswick are ranked 113th).

This is the second loss in a row for Lorain and nudges their season record down to 3-4. As for Steele, they are now 5-3, having gone 1-2 since their three-game winning streak ended.
