Baseball Recap: Kohler Takes a Loss

Kohler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the New Berlin Eisenhower Lions.

Nolan Kading was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Kohler saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Harrington, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Collin Thorne also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Kohler's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for New Berlin Eisenhower, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Kohler didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-2 victory against Howards Grove on the 15th. As for New Berlin Eisenhower, they will welcome Badger at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 3, the Badgers 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
