Soccer Game Preview: Patrick County vs. Carroll County

Patrick County is 0-3 against Carroll County since March of 2022 but things could change on Thursday. The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m.

Patrick County played in-conference for the first time on Monday and got just the result they were looking for. Everything went their way against Alleghany as they made off with a 7-1 win. The victory continues a trend for Patrick County in their matchups with Alleghany: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Carroll County was forced to settle for a draw. They and George Wythe finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw on Wednesday.

Carroll County's draw gives them a new season record of 4-2-1. As for Patrick County, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.

Patrick County might still be hurting after the 5-0 defeat they got from Carroll County in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
