Basketball Recap: Chalmette Comes Up Short

Chalmette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 42-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northshore Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 68-57 loss back in January.

Chalmette's defeat dropped their record down to 11-19. As for Northshore, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record this season.

Coming up, Chalmette will square off against Fontainebleau at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Laderricka Payne and Macy Robinson. Northshore has already played their next contest (against Ponchatoula), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
