Baseball Recap: Gainesville Comes Up Short

Gainesville lost against Sanger back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Leopards fell 6-3 to the Indians.

Gainesville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Nichols, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Gainesville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Sanger, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Sanger beat Gainesville by a score of 10-6 on Friday.
