Basketball Recap: Fayette Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Fayette Falcons opened the new year with a less-than-successful 57-50 loss to the Macon Tigers.

Fayette's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Macon, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-7 record.

Fayette will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pilot Grove at 6:00 p.m. on January 13th. As for Macon, they will square off against Keokuk at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
