Baseball Recap: Aurora Christian Victorious

Aurora Christian proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by eight) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Marmion Cadets, sneaking past 6-5. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Cadets: they've now won three in a row.

Preston Morel was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Aurora Christian's record is now 18-14. As for Marmion, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 20-12-1 record.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Aurora Christian will face off against Hinckley-Big Rock at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marmion, they will square off against Sycamore at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
