Basketball Game Preview: North Star Knights vs. Fort Benton Longhorns

North Star is 2-8 against Fort Benton since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. After both having extra time off, both will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

North Star is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Box Elder last Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. North Star was dealt an 85-56 defeat at the hands of Box Elder. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-22.

Meanwhile, Fort Benton was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-46 heartbreaker at the hands of Box Elder.

Fort Benton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for North Star, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

North Star came up short against Fort Benton in their previous meeting back in February, falling 62-55. Can North Star avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
