Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Spanish Fort). They put the hurt on the Biloxi Indians with a sharp 15-2 win on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Toros considering their two-run performance the game before.

Spanish Fort got a great performance from Isabelle Walker as she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Walker has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Maddie Nelson was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikala Godfrey, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Spanish Fort always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Biloxi only posted an OBP of .286.

Spanish Fort has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 21-5 record this season. Biloxi has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
