Football Recap: South Albany Redhawks vs. West Albany Bulldogs

A win for South Albany just wasn't in the cards on Friday as the squad wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They had to suffer through a 47-13 loss at the hands of the West Albany Bulldogs. The Redhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

West Albany was led to victory by Kaden Martirano and Tyler Hart-McNally. Martirano threw for 281 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes, while Hart-McNally gained 152 total yards and two touchdowns. Hart-McNally's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 116 rushing yards. Dwayne Conrod made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

This is the second loss in a row for South Albany and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for West Albany, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

South Albany does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Albany, they will challenge Hillsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Albany is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 32.7 points per game this season.
