Basketball Recap: Chester Find Success

There's no place like home for Chester, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 56-55 victory over the Mid-Carolina Rebels. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 69-43 back in January.

Several Rebels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jamarian Dewalt, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Dewalt a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Kaden Myers, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

With the win, Chester broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-8. As for Mid-Carolina, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chester will face off against Clinton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mid-Carolina, they will take on Eau Claire at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eau Claire is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.6 points per game this season.
