Basketball Game Preview: Daphne Trojans vs. Fairhope Pirates

Daphne has gone 8-2 against Fairhope recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Trojans will face off against the Pirates at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Daphne is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Foley with a sharp 46-22 victory. The win was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on six straight.

Kamorya Johnson was nothing short of spectacular: she dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 boards. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2025. Another player making a difference was Fredayshia Goodwin, who had ten points.

Daphne was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They are 19-2 when they've passed the ball that well.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fairhope). They claimed a resounding 88-19 victory over Baldwin County. With the Pirates ahead 52-16 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Daphne's record is now 21-7. As for Fairhope, their record now sits at 26-4.

Daphne came out on top in a nail-biter against Fairhope when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 51-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
