Volleyball Recap: Swain County Takes a Loss

Swain County came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Hayesville Yellowjackets. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Maroon Devils have suffered since August 26th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 25-18.

Swain County's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Hayesville, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Swain County will face off against Cherokee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hayesville, they will take on Summit Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
