There was early excitement for Cajon after they claimed the first goal on Thursday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Redlands East Valley Wildcats by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Cajon came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while Redlands East Valley are ranked 335th).
