Softball Recap: Dugger Union Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Dugger Union's offense. They lost 14-0 to the Eminence Eels on Thursday. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Dugger Union saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jalee Brumbarger, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Dugger Union's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Eminence, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Dugger Union will challenge Clay City at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Eminence, they will face off against Providence Cristo Rey at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20.5 runs per game on average), something the Eels will no doubt try to take advantage of.
