Softball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Centennial can now relate to. They fell just short of the Danville Vikings by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Chargers in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost five in a row.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Danville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-15.

Centennial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Danville, they will challenge Mt. Zion at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Braves have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
