Basketball Recap: Bevier Takes a Loss

Bevier lost against Columbia Independent back in January of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bevier Wildcats were outmatched by Columbia Independent and fell 61-26. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Columbia Independent's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blake Morris, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 boards. Morris' evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Deolu Adibiyi was another key player, going 6-for-11 on his way to 15 points and five steals.

Bevier's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Columbia Independent, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

Looking ahead, Bevier will face off against Green City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbia Independent, they will challenge Chamois at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
